Maya Njie Perfumes was founded in 2016 by Swedish-Gambian perfumer Maya Njie (pronounced Maia N-Jai). Based in London, Maya crafts vegan, cruelty-free artisanal perfumes inspired by her Scandinavian upbringing and West African heritage.

Drawing on a background in photography and surface design, she uses scent to capture memory — translating nostalgic family moments into modern olfactory form. Every perfume is developed in-house, hand-blended in small batches, and bottled individually for precision and freshness.

Her creations combine natural and synthetic ingredients ethically — all vegan and never animal-tested — and reflect a delicate balance between Nordic minimalism and soulful warmth.
